TFTM 2013 - 11 : Max Lahiff

Thanks for the memories is heading to a conlusion. Today's recipient of a Big-Al picture-retrospective is Max Lahiff.
Yet another of our academy products on the move Max joined in 2009 and made his first team debut against Wasps in November of that year in the LV= cup. The Beef has gone on to make 65 appearances for London Irish, scoring 1 try. During the 2012-13 season, Max was almost ever present making 27 appearances. Max is moving to Australia to join the Melbourne Rebels and many expect to see him playing for Australia in a year or 2.

I remember him doing the 'extras'* in the evenings at the Virgin gym, walking round like a wounded bear, choosing which bit of kit to attack next.
*As did Steffon, notably in the HC semi year.

Yes, absolutely. In some respects he was the saddest loss to us at the end of last season even though it had been widely trailed...Great guy, massive effort 100% of the time, even when injured. Really hope he makes it down under.
I think he's currently on loan to Hawkes Bay during the ITM Cup competition. Look out for their games on SKY and we might just see him.

We've checked all of the sky schedule Bisach he must have gone the the equivalent of LI in New Zealand because they are covering all of the teams at some point except 1!! Guess which?
