Get on the trip to Wales

As it's almost time for Calvisano and Christmas is coming (!), we thought we'd get round to sorting out our DW trip to South Wales to take in the......... .........

Celtic Warriors v London Wasps match at the Brewery Field, Bridgend. KO 19.15 on Friday 16th Jan 2004

The plan:

Friday 16th Jan 2004 The plan is to stay the night / weekend in Cardiff. Most of the hotels in Cardiff which can sleep our whole group are quite expensive or out of town. It is easier to stay in the B & B's along Cathedral Road (just around the corner to the Castle). Average cost £35.00 per person. We will provide a list of places to stay in due course.

Transport to the match will be by coach. We could travel there by train but the return times are not really feasible. We will be picked up at 4.30pm from the Castle, which will get us to the ground in time for a few beers before ko.

7.15 pm Watch the game.

Approx 11pm (or sooner depending on the result). A coach will take us back to Cardiff in time for a few more beers if required. Most of the bars in Cardiff open till 2am and some even later (for a nominal fee on the door)

Saturday 17th January 2004

11.00 Tour of the Millennium Stadium (£5.00 adults, Kids £2.50) Lunch in a local hostelry

2.30 Cardiff v Biarritz at the Arms Park.(£18.00 adults, kids £5.00)

So basically, at this point we need to know:

1) Who wants to be on the coach transfer between Cardiff and Bridged - the cost is £10 per head for adults and £5 for children for the return trip.

2) Who wants to come on the Millennium Stadium Tour

3) Who wants to come to the Cardiff v Biarritz game. Match tickets will be purchased for everyone who elects to travel on the coach - so please specify adults, children (under 16), old folks.

If you are intending to make your own travel arrangements for the match, but are interested in the Saturday excursions (i.e. 2 & 3 but not 1) then you must specify your match ticket requirements. A separate ticket requirements request email will be sent out shortly for people who only want match tickets. The closing date for the three options above (not the match ticket only option) is Wednesday 17th December. .
