Hopes of a play-off play have all but disappeared as our poor away record once again manifested itself in a 27-22 defeat by Saints.
We have won only one away game since October,. However, we looked to have got rid of that hoodoo courtesy of a lightning start which saw us 10-0 ahead thanks to Jacob Umaga try and a Gopperth pen.
It wasn't to last as Saints overturned that score courtesy of Alex Mitchell and James Grayson tries befere half-time with the TMO ruled out a Wasps try for a forward pass. Alex Waller increased the lead after the break only for Paolo Odogwu to speed in at the corner to bring it back to 19-15.
The next try would be vital and it went to Wasps via Courtnall Skosan. It just left Will Porter to get Wasps' consolation.
Lee Blackett's media summing up:
"I was really happy with the first 20 minutes. I thought we controlled it, we were unlucky to have a disallowed try as well. Everything went our way, the intent was there and then we just lost a bit of momentum."
