Amazing how a little bit of handbags in Coventry might change rugby for the better across the world.
The punishment handed out to coaches Scott Barrow and Pete Atkinson for their churlish actions as Exeter fought back received only minor punishment from the RFU. A one week ban from the touchline and, more creatively, they are also required to run a session for the other touchline staff on how to behave during games.
However, world rugby has taken up the baton and is now looking at the role of "water boys" throughout the game. There's floods of them coming on at every opportunity oftyen accompanied by groans from the crowd as they march on.
We could do without it, and it will be to the good of the game if these activities can be curtailed.
And Lee Blackett is quiite right when he says it may have as much to do with the activities of Rassie Erasmus during the Lions tour than it has to do with his coaches.
