Second Half Letdown

Lee Blackett

Lots of positives for Lee Blackett as we ran a rejuvenated Exeter Chiefs close - going down 27-23 and having to settle for a losing bonus point.

We were leading 20-15 at the brreak but only had a Gopperth penalty to show for a second half wheere Chiefs stamped their authoity.

Putting in a full 80 minute performance will be top of the list as the coaches take to the training pitch this week.

Exeter started strongly through Henry Slade and an indiviual try from Facundo Cordero, but we fought back through Dan Frost and Thomas Young to give us that advantage at half-time.

Both sides slugged it out in the early stages of the second half and we went further ahead through Jimmy Gopperth's penalty.

Sadly, that was the end of Wasps' scoring as Chief's finished the stronger with tries from Sam  Simmonds and Jonny Hill.
