It was announced recently that at the end of this season Stephen Jones will be leaving the coaching team at Wasps and heading back to his homeland of Wales to take up the role of backs coach at Scarlets.

Stephen originally joined Wasps in 2012 as first choice Fly Half after playing more than 300 games for Scarlets in the 10 shirt. He rapidly moved to a player/coach role and as Dai's assistant he has helped kick start Wasps' revival in fortunes. As a player Jones won over 100 caps for Wales and is still the most capped Fly Half in Welsh history. For a player of his magnitude to make the move to Wasps at the lowest point in their history, and to stay loyal to them throughout the hard times that are now common knowledge shows a very real strength of character and loyal nature.

Thanks indeed.
We all knew the skills he brought to Adams Park as a world-class No 10, but I was immensely impressed by his defence when seen at close quarters.

Yes, agree with all the above. Shame injury curtailed his playing days with Wasps and there were a few on here, myself included, that doubted his coaching abilities. Maybe we all expected too much too soon, but if our recent attacking flair is a sign of what he can achieve, then the Scarlets are getting one mighty fine coach.
