Summer musings

My God, it's hot.  Working from home is some relief, but with the sun beating down incessantly on the tiled roof feet above my head, the study is doing a fair representation of a small oven.

So there's nothing else for it but to go and get a drink and watch a bit of cricket.

I have to say, listening to TMS is what English summers were designed for. Where else in the world could you happily listen to three or four guys ramble on about absolutely nothing for six hours and come away feeling the better for it.

And it looks like we have an Essex Captain leading from the front again. All's right with the world.

I love the expression, working from home. A common oxymoron I suppose [:wor kid:]

England cricket captains should always come from Middlesex!!

Watched it courtesy of Mr Murdoch at chez nous this morning. The lunchtime glass (or two...) tasted good today.

I love the summer, but it's only two drawbacks for me are the lack of rugby and bloody cricket!!!

I enjoy TMS but they still haven't plugged the sizable gap left by CMJ's demise, for me. I'm not sure about Ed "I've got a theory" Smith, and I can't listen to Charles Dagnall's strangled tones without being reminded of Vince Cable.
