Wasps "Old" Boy Comes Good in US College Rugby

Alex Hodgkinson, a member of Wasps all-conquering 1sts from last season, kicked his new team, Syracuse University RFC, to a win by converting a 77th minute penalty last weekend!

Alex is a former Wasps mini who appeared for Wasps at various age groups right up to Colts and senior men, helping Wasps to win the Herts Middx League 1 title last season. He plays at stand off, centre and full back. Alex also played for Middlesex County at youth level.

This season marks his move to Syracuse University Rugby Football Club (aka Hammerheads) in the State of New York, USA. He has already made his mark by all accounts (read the match report here: http://www.rugbymag.com/men%27s-di-college/5927-syracuse-sinks-iona-with-late-penalty.html).

Alex has dual nationality so perhaps his kicking prowess will come to the attention of former Wasps and England scrum half, Nigel Melville, who is currently the Chief Exec and President of Rugby Operations of USA Rugby!
