At long last, here are the details for the Birkett and Hart Testimonial Year Supporters Curry Night!

The Date:  Wednesday 11th April 2012 from 6pm

The Venue: The Clay Oven Banqueting Suite, 197 Ealing Road, Alperton, HA0 4LW

Come and join Richard and John for a great night out with curry and beer, following the well-established Drunken Wasps rugby club format. This evening is very much aimed at the boys thanking the ordinary person in the stands for supporting them over the years and a number of their fellow players will no doubt come along to watch them squirm in a “Q&A” with Mr Dave Larham.  Also, just awaiting final confirmation, we have the return of a favourite mid-course entertainer. We will have a raffle for some “decent swag”, plus the boys’ testimonial brochures and t shirts will be on sale too.

This year we are targeting around 200 guests to make sure the atmosphere is just right, and as these places normally get taken up pretty quickly, please get your order in as soon as possible.

We have made a small change to the tickets this time round, to keep costs down.  The full meal and service, plus soft drinks at the table, will be covered by the ticket price, but any alcoholic drinks will need to be purchased individually from the bar or the waiting staff. This means that drivers won’t be subsidizing their passengers.

Remember, it is our proud boast that nobody has ever gone home from one of these events hungry!

The cost of a ticket is £35 per head, and this provides all the entertainment plus the following menu:

Starters (table service) 7.30pm:
Lamb Chops;
Fish Pakoras;
Chilli Paneer;
Hara Bhara Kebab;
Vegetable Samosas

Mains (Table Service) 9pm:
Chicken Tikka Masala and Karahi Gosht;
Mixed Vegetable Curry;
Saag Aloo, Mushroom Bhaji and Tarka Dal;
Pilau Rice garnished with green peas;
Naan and Onion Kulcha;
Mixed Raita and Tossed Green Salad

Dessert (like you’re going to have room):
Fruit Salad & Ice Cream

Tickets are on sale now.  Simply send an email to orders@drunkenwasps.com stating how many seats you will be wanting, with names of all your guests (important for the seating plan) and we'll do the rest. You’ll get a confirmation with an invoice, and your seat will be booked on payment.

Richard, John and the DW team look forward to seeing you there.

And I quote:

Calm down dear. I wanted to make the point that perhaps you may get Tom Rees along.

Remember to get your order in as defined, the golden rule is:

If you don't have an invoice, you don't have a seat at the curry!
