Fancy doing match day reporting?

Avid readers amongst you will have noticed that, from time to time, this site's messageboard goes into a deactivated state. Here's your opportunity to help prevent that happening. Do you have opinions?

Can you get access to a PC?

Are you a regular attendee at Wasps matches?

Then why not apply for the vacant post of Drunken Wasps Official Match Report Writer?

This very sought after position carries absolutely no perks at all. It is a task that will cause Barney to quibble at your use of English and punctuation; various Balshaw supporters to call you deluded; ABCD to contradict you from afar; and almost everyone else to think that they could do a better job.

The upside of it is that you will be making a valuable contribution to the up-time of the DW site. We suffer from a lack of editorial material because, as the frequent “calls to action” about joining in the songs, chants and other “jollying along” activities have shown, Wasps fans are largely introspective and slow to join in. This of course is completely in contrast to their joy of telling other people where it all went or is going wrong!

So come on, make yourself a target. All you need is a notepad, a pen or pencil, and the ability to make notes throughout the game, retain them afterwards* and compose a short piece of text for publishing. The site management will take care of all the publishing grunt work.

Please apply to james@drunkenwasps.com – all applications will be considered when the editorial team return from wherever they have gone to.

* it is the retention of notes after a few beers that disqualifies James from this role.
