Former Bolton Wanderers goalkeeping legend Keith Branagan has been forced to retire from playing professional because of a shoulder injury that has dogged him for the past nine months while playing for Ipswich Town. The 36 year old suffered a joint and ligament injury to his shoulder in training for Ipswich nine months ago and he was starting to reach match fitness before he made a routine save which aggrevated the injury and on doctor's advice has forced him to retire.
He has now returned to Bolton, where his family lives, to train to be a goalkeeping coach.

Good luck with your future and thanks for the memories, Keith.
