Bolton Wanderers star Augustine "Jay Jay" Okocha has been called up to the Nigeria squad for their African Nations Cup qualifying game against Angola next month. This may provide a headache for Wanderers manager Sam Allardyce... The game takes place on the weekend of the 6th to 8th of September which would leave Okocha with only a few days to recover from the match and travelling large distances before Bolton's vital Premiership game away to local rivals Manchester United on Wednesday September 11th.
Okocha had earlier indicated that he was to retire from international football after captaining Nigeria in their disappointing World Cup campaign but has been persauded to return following a recent holiday in his homeland.
