Stranraer announced that veteran defender David Farrell and young midfielder Alex Grace have both signed a one year contract with the club.

David Farrell joined the Blues in March 2001 from Clydebank. He started his senior career off with a season at Oxford United in 1987, before moving north to play for Hibernian from 1988 to 1996. He then moved on to Partick Thistle, Airdrie and Clydebank. He has made 36 league appearances for the Blues and has scored three goals; all of which from the penalty spot. Farrell also acts as coach to the team.

Alex Grace may be only 5'6" in height, but what he lacks in height he makes up in ball control and determination. The 28 year-old midfielder joined the Blues from Dumbarton in late January last season for £5,000. While at Dumbarton he played 89 league games and found the back of the net on eight occasions. Grace finished this season with only two goals in 23 matches. Foe much of the season he found himself on the substitutes bench as the team had quite a few midfielders on the books. As the injury crisis worsened for the team in February and March Alex found himself being brought into the team more often.
