A victory in our first totesport game of the season against the same opponents as our first game of the season. A tight bowling performance was the key to the win. Our totesport campaign got underway against the same opponents Leicestershire. They batted first but that looked like the wrong decision from the off. Liam Plunkett (the star of our first game) took a wicket early on, clean bowling Maunders, and then doing the same to Habib. In big trouble at 4-2. Maddy and Ackerman got them right back on track with an excellent partnership, before both were dismissed to swing the pendulum back in our favour.

Sadler soon returned to the pavilion to leave them 108-5. They never recovered and lost another wicket with Snape run out. They finished poorly with 164-5 from their allocated 45 overs. Durham made an excellent start going at over 5 an over for the first 5 overs - mainly leg byes though. But this was soon halted with the struggling captain Mike Hussey leg-before off Gibson. Lewis and Peng had a good partnership of 41, before both were then dismissed from good bowling from Masters and Gibson respectively.

Rain brought the players off after 22 overs with the score on 85-3. With no further play possible Duckworth-Lewis was used which showed a target of just 76 from 22 overs and a nine run win! Well done boys!
