No debut for Collingwood

As feared, Paul Collingwood was left out of the team to face Bangladesh in the first ever test match between the two countries. Steve Harmison was included and plays his twelth test match.
Despite the poor quality of the opposition, England have gone into todays test match with a full strength batting line up instead of taking the opportunity to give Colly a chance to show what he can do.
There were two new faces in the England team, all rounder Rikki Clarke took the place of Andrew Flintoff and Gareth Batty was included as a second spinner.
After all the waiting, the day was a hige let down, with Bangladesh winning the toss and electing to bat but only managing four overs before a monsoon-type downpour halted play.
Hoggard and Harmison opened the bowling and Bangladesh only managed a single run, getting through the four overs without losing a wicket.
