Liam Plunkett has been named in the England U19 Squad to take on South Africa this Summer. The series consists of three four day 'tests' and three one day internationals. The first test starts on 1st August at Headingly.
It will not be a surprise to anyone following Durham that 18 year old Liam Plunkett has made the U19 squad. He has played four championship matches this season and is the only Durham bowler to have taken five wickets in an innings in the Championship.
Liam has also shown that he can score runs when needed too, with a highest score of 38 not out this season.
The U19 squad is captained again by Bilal Shafayat of Notts. The full 12 man squad is:
