After another good bowling performance, we have the chance to put the nightmare of the 1st innings behind us and snatch a win. There are over two days left so there will almost certainly be a result, a bit of determination from the batsmen should turn it our way.
Three wickets for Plunkett and two each for Harmy, Shoaib and Phillips saw Worcs dismissed for 198 setting us a target of 296 to win.
Hopefully we can put the disaster of 120 all out in the first innings well behind us and pull out the win. There are still over two days left to play so we have plenty of time...
Good innings from Lewis, Love and Wells together with solid contributions from the younger players would see us through but it would be one of our highest scores this season and on a wicket which is obviously a problem to play on.
Lewis and Gough started well, reaching 53 without loss but Gough fell followed very quickly by Love to leave us in the less attractive situation of 53-2 and the target looking a long way away.
Lewis is still there and you have to feel that the outcome of this match is going to be very much down to his performance with the bat tonight...
