The second day of play at Taunton, finally got under way after lunch with a good start by Srinath and Harmy as each are in the wickets and Somerset are bowled out 14 short of Durham's total. When we travel down to the west country for a bit of cricket, the last think we expect is worse weather than at home! But thats the way it was today with heavy rain washing out the mornings play.

When play did start after lunch it took less than three overs for Srinath to strike taking the wicket of Bryant for 13. Not long later Harmy takes his first wicket of the match when he bowls Dutch for just four runs in the tenth over of the day.

It didn't stop there, in Harmy's next over he took the wicket of Laraman caught behind as the Somerset tail found his pace hard to live with.

Richard Johnson had the audacity to hit Harmy for 6 before being run out two balls later. In his next over Harmy finished off the innings by bowling Maclean for a duck.

But batting form is still escaping us, in a similar pattern to the first innings Gough, Pratt, Wells and Peng all fall before tea leaving us on 66-4. Again Jon Lewis is the only one showing any will to dig in and stay there. Gary Pratt hit a quick 20 but it would be better if he could stay there a bit longer.

After tea, Lewis and Danny Law started slowly and played themselves in. Then just as they were getting to their stride and looking like getting through to the close without losing a wicket Jon Lewis was bowled by Francis for 50.

With Andrew Pratt the last recognised batsmen, its not looking too good but if they can make it 200 it sets Somerset a total which they might struggle to get. Hopefully the memory of their last run chase against Gloucestershire will come back to haunt them...
