Schumacher Wants Double Victory For Germany

Dale Calkins

Michael Schumacher is certainly looking to win in England this weekend, and he is also supporting his home nation of Germany in the World Cup. Schumacher will look to triumph over Fernando Alonso, while Germany is set to face Costa Rica in their opening match of the World Cup. This is what the 7-Time World Champion had to say about his race and Germany's match this weekend:

"We have managed to sort out the car really well, we have prepared our tyres for Silverstone and generally worked toward doing well at the Grand Prix this weekend. We've improved several areas and I think everyone will be able to see that at Silverstone. We should be able to do well and fight for the win there. That is of course our goal.

And, of course, I'm excited about the World Cup and I hope Germany can beat Costa Rica and go on to win the whole tournament."

Both Schumacher and Germany are favorites to become World Champions this year, for Schumacher however it may be more difficult as he trails Championship leader Fernando Alonso by 21 points. Team Germany however is tipped as one of the nations likely to win the World Cup, as they are hosting the illustrious tournament this year.
