Kimi Raikkonen To Ferrari Deal Done?

It now seems quite certain that Kimi Raikkonen will race for the Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro Team in 2007. It was reported quite some time ago that Kimi had already signed a contract with Ferrari, but now everything has come together and it seems those rumours were true. An unnamed Ferrari engineer was quoted as confirming the Raikkonen to Ferrari rumours when he said this:

"The thing is so well advanced that Ferrari could announce that they’ve hired Kimi now, but they don’t want to make the same mistake as McLaren with Alonso."

Kimi himself almost confirmed that he had already signed a contract when he attempted to alieviate talk about the rumour:

"I am not a Ferrari driver,not yet."

These two statements, combined with the fact that Raikkonen has apparently turned down a 72 million euro offer to stay with McLaren, only falls slightly short of confirming that Kimi Raikkonen will indeed race for Ferrari.
