Ferrari has tested a new wing for the first time today, one that makes the car 3 tenths of a second per lap faster. The wing is a more scoop like design, like that which has been seen from Renault, Honda and McLaren and also does away with the ugly small box add on wing from the previous F2005. Ferrari has tested a new wing for the first time today, one that makes the car 3 tenths of a second per lap faster. The wing is a more scoop like design, like that which has been seen from Renault, Honda and McLaren and also does away with the ugly small box add on wing from the previous F2005. Also added to this new front end is a secondary wing which runs from the nose to the top of the front wing end plates.

This wing as reported by the German publication Auto Motor Und Sport, should put Ferrari on par with Honda but apparently still behind Renault. This publication may be underestimating Ferrari as with this new wing, improved reliability and as Ross Brawn has recently revealed, no more clutch issues, Ferrari should be challenging for the victory in 2006.
