Schumacher Wants More Money

Michael Schumacher's manager, Willi Weber is organizing a $6.1 million increase in Schumacher's Ferrari contract. This new contract would also see Schumacher stay at the Scuderia after the 2006 season. With $6.1 million more, Schumacher's annual salary would be a massive $48.8 million.

There is speculation that Michael will not even be staying at Ferrari to take a pay increase, as the rumours are becoming stronger that he will move to McLaren Mercedes. Ferrari is very intent on retaining the German driver's services as they have apparently offered Schumacher a deal for a post 2006 contract. Here is what Willi Weber had to say about this new offer:

"We will not sign it for the moment. We're in no hurry."
