This is a black day for motor sports. A disgusting display of idiocy. There is no one to blame except Michelin. What Michelin has done has damaged the sport more than anything in many years and is completely unfair to the dedicated fans.

Don't Blame Us For Michelin's Farce

This is a black day for motor sports. A disgusting display of idiocy. There is no one to blame except Michelin.

It is Michelins responsibility to bring an alternative tyre to the race track, in the possibility of one being unsafe. Michelin did not bring these tyres and for that reason were not prepared for the race. It is also Michelin's fault for not bringing a safe tyre to the track in the first place.

Michelin wanted a chicane to be built in turn 13. This would be a gross infraction of the rules. Modifications can not be mad to the track between qualifying and the race. This would also not be allowed because it would be designed to assist a manufacturer because of their performance disadvantage.

Regardless of what happens today, it is likely that further actions will be taken against Michelin for making a farce of one of the most popular and most needed races of the year.

I am thoroughly disgusted with what we have seen today, but Michelin has no one to blame but themselves.
