Michael Schumacher states that the challenge of catching up to Fernando Alonso, only makes him fight harder to take back his crown. After a very strong United States Grand Prix, much is uncertain as to whether or not Ferrari can continue to win, but Schumacher's determination alone may very well bring victory. This is what the 7-Time World Champion had to say about the upcoming French Grand Prix:

"We have prepared well for Magny-Cours. As we know, the gap to Alonso is 19 points and we want to make this up. The second part of the race will be a dash to the title. I have certainly not given up hope; on the contrary, the challenge of a making up the gap will bring out the best in us."
