Day two of Jordan's three day test at Silverstone was cut short by heavy rain at the Northamptonshire circuit. The day was grey and overcast with a light drizzle early on which eventually gave way to a drenching rain. There had been some heavy overnight rain and the circuit was very wet, however Narain Karthikeyan took to the track early on and completed five laps of the full Grand Prix circuit. No times have been published by the team, however given the conditions it's probably not best to expect any representative times.

The team also undertook a series of pit lane manoeuvres with a number of practice starts and pit stops. Narain seemed quite comfortable in the car and very able to follow instruction. A very confident driver with a massive following in his home country. Even so I'm told India's top cricket star is switching his F1 allegiance from Michael Schumacher to Jordan Grand Prix and Narain Karthikeyan.

Not only is Narain getting on with the job, the Toyota engine has now run over two full race distances (clearly not all in one go) but without any mechanical problems and the team are very pleased.

The rain continued over the lunch break and if anything got even heavier. Both drivers were involved in official photoshoots and interviews. They did infact take to the track, Narain in a Ford Mondeo and Tiago in a Mini Cooper again no lap records were set there.

Meanwhile, the engineers fired up the Toyota engines to "warm it up". I think it was to give the waiting hacks something to write about.

At the end of the day, the team were able to get some running in and hopefully, it will be a better day tomorrow for Tiago to get some more laps in.

The team proceed to Barcelona next week for further running. Although the weather forecast is not meant to be as good as it has been this week.
