Jordan duo Nick Heidfeld and Timo Glock have qualified for the Brazilian Grand Prix in 17th and 18th places respectively. Their places were improved after a certain World Champion managed to qualify in Eighth place but was dropped a further ten grid places after his entire car had to be replaced!

You also need to wonder if F1 is going to the dogs after two strays were removed from the track (no, not Katie Price and Jodie Marsh).  And Bernie says that Silverstone's facilities are poor.  Was he watching or was he taking his afternoon nap?

Anyway.  Last years Brazilian Grand Prix was Jordan's 200th race and Giancarlo Fisichella's first win.  A race to be remembered in the wet.  Tomorrow's forecast is for similar conditions and Jordan are hoping that their tyre choice is correct wet or dry.

"It was a great qualifying session overall and for Jordan it’s good to get two cars ahead of Michael Schumacher!" said James Robinson.  "We compromised the car set-up on the basis of the rain forecast for tomorrow so we are hoping that our forecast is correct thus allowing us to make use of our excellent Bridgestone tyres."

Nick said "I’m quite satisfied with my lap and it is good fun to drive here at Interlagos again. I lost some grip on the tyres towards the end of the lap but that’s normal, it can happen. The new tarmac here has some good grip which is positive but it’s still too bumpy really. Hopefully we will be lucky and have a good race."

Timo's qualifying lap actually looked slow.  He seemed to have problems being able to get the car into the corners but this was explained with Timo running a different strategy to the one that Nick is running.

"It has been a bit better than yesterday." said Timo.  "We found more from the car in time for pre-qualifying, although I made a mistake in last sector. In qualifying I had a good lap without mistakes. I’m on a slightly different strategy to Nick and I think the distance between our times represents that. We had problems yesterday but we’ve found a better way for the set-up now. I’m looking forward to the race and hope it’s wet because that’s would be the best position for us in terms of chances for points."
