A nice but unexpected result for Jordan

In most unexpected circumstances, the Jordan Grand Prix Team picked up three much needed World Championship points at yesterday's Canadian Grand Prix. Jordan's drivers, the debutant Timo Glock and Nick Heidfeld picked up 7th and 8th places respectively after both Williams and Toyota were disqualified from the race for illegal brake ducts on their cars.

Jordan's reliable and steadfast cars actually finished in 11th and 12th places on the track, however the disqualification moved them up to points scoring places.

Timo's points mean that he is the 52nd F1 driver to score points on their debut. Timo had never spent so much time in the car and did admit to be suffering with a small amount of back pain after the race.
