More rumours abound in the paddock this weekend, however perhaps one of the more important to Jordan Fans is that ex-Renault test driver Allan McNish wasn't sacked by the Renault team but was "amicably released".
This may signal that Allan is to make a return to a Full time race seat for 2004. Franck Montahny will replace McNish as Renault's test driver next season. McNish said that he has been talking to a couple of British Teams for race positions next year.
"Negotiations take ages but I will say they're at a fairly advanced stage. I think it will be four weeks before I know." he said yesterday. Allan was interviewed by Ted Kravitz for ITV's Imola coverage. When asked if he was going to be back in racing next year with Jordan, Allan laughed the question off but didn't confirm either way.
Rumours are now gathering pace and it looks like sources at the USGP have said that Allan's best bet is with a certain yellow clad team.
Could Allan be the real British Racer that B&H have been after? Will he eventually be the saviour of the struggling Silverstone based team? Only time will tell, but I wouldn't mind a bet on Allan McNish replacing Giancarlo for the next 12 months.
