Miller Linked

Former Town midfielder Tommy Miller is reportedly wanted by Town manager Joe Royle, a year after he left Town.

It is believed the 27-year-old midfielder will be available on free transfer from the black cats as they wish to cut their wage bill following their relegation from the Premiership.

 

If Miller does return to Portman Road it will be his third spell at Town, the first ended when he was 15 and told he was too small to be a professional footballer, he returned to Portman Road in 2001 and stayed until last summer when he joined Sunderland on a free transfer.

 

Miller notched up 36 goals in 139 appearances during his time at Town.  

 

Elsewhere Jamie Clapham has now been released by Birmingham.
