Report: Town 2-0 Derby

April 22 2006

Town’s run of 7 games without a win came to an end today with a 2-0 win against Derby County earlier today.

The first half was a dull, yet open affair with both sides having chances, Town’s player of the year Fabian Wilnis had to be replaced 4 minutes before the interval with an injury.

Jim Magilton started the game but was replaced at half time by Jaime Peters. Nicky Forster scored his sixth goal of the season just 53 seconds into the second half when he fired the ball home from 20 yards out into the top left hand corner.

Darren Currie made it 2-0 on 66 minutes with his effort from a similar range to Forster’s effort but instead it was drilled low and into the bottom right corner.
