Town will land £50,000 in the next few days if Darren Bent makes his 40th appearence for Charlton Athletic.
The payment will be due as soon as Bent makes his 40th appearance for the addicks which he is likely to do over the Easter weekend with Charlton playing twice, Fulham away on Saturday and Portsmouth at home on Easter Monday. Bent was linked with a move to Spurs earlier this week and now it has been reported that Liverpool and Arsenal both want the youngster with a fee as high as £12million being mentioned and Town are believed to have a sell on clause worth 20% of anything over what Charlton end up paying for Bent. Darren has scored 20 goals for Charlton in league and cup this season and has been nominated for the PFA young player of the year award.
