Lee A Doubt Again

Town striker Alan Lee is a doubt for Town’s game against Brighton at the weekend with a groin injury.

Lee has played with the injury for the past couple of weeks and may have to start the Brighton on the bench or miss the game entirely to let the injury rest up.

Town manager Joe Royle: “He has been doing us a favour because he's clearly been carrying a groin strain for now.

“I'd love to give him a rest and tell him to go away and report back in June, ready and flying for the new season.

“His arrival here in January helped turn us around and he has been fantastic for us but he's been soldering on with the injury for a while now.

“The plain facts are that we have needed him. I've not had a chance to give him a rest.”

If Lee misses the game Nicky Forster may well get a short run out for the first time since December
