Town Tracking Thompson?

Ipswich Town are one of a number of clubs reportedly keen on signing Linfield striker Peter Thompson.

The 21-year-old striker has been the target of interest from QPR and Gretna and now it appears that Derby County, Barnsley and Town want to sign him.

 

Nicked named “Pistol Pete” for his strike rate which saw him score 27 goals in 50 games last season and 35 in 39 names this season.

 

Thompson is keen to move into professional football but any move will have to wait until the summer transfer window.
