Gavin Out For 2 Weeks

Ipswich Town midfielder Gavin Williams is set to be out for at least two more weeks as he recovers from two injuries.

Williams lasted just 30 minutes of Town’s 2-1 win against Norwich last Sunday having to leave the pitch with a gashed shin as well as a knee injury.

 

Town manager Joe Royle: “Gavin will probably be out for two weeks, his knee has improved a lot and wouldn't keep him out of action but his shin and ankle are in a tatty state to say the least.

 

“It was a poor challenge and he has nasty gashes on his shin and his ankle is swollen as well so he's going to be out for a little while.”

 

Williams is almost certain to miss the games against Burnley, Crewe and Wolves.
