Ipswich Town manager Joe Royle says he is likely to dip into the emergency loan market in order get another striker in at Portman Road.
Following the injury to Danny Haynes Town currently only have two fully fit strikers, Alan Lee and Dean McDonald as Sam Parkin is still a few weeks away from a first team return after a broken ankle, Adam Proudlock is short on match practice and Nicky Forster is out for the rest of the season and too make matter worse for Joe his loan target is injured as well.
Town manager Joe Royle: “I am struggling to ever remember an injury curse like this, especially to strikers at a club.
“Even the first player on a very short list of loan strikers who I asked about has got himself injured so we can't go there.
“I have asked about other strikers and I'm hoping for a couple of managers to come back to me in the next couple of days.”
