Ipswich Town midfielder Vemund Brekke Skard thinks it will be next season before he is playing for Town.
The 24-year-old made his first appearance in a Town shirt in the reserve team defeat against Fulham last week.
Skard: “The reserve game was quicker than I thought it would be, certainly quicker than what I have been used to, I didn't read the game as quickly as I hoped I would and the ball was moved around the pitch at a fast pace.
“My fitness is getting there but not 100 per cent yet. I had a groin injury for a year and it has taken me longer than I thought to get over the operation.
“My fitness will come though and I hope to improve my football all the time but I think it will be next season before I am playing at the highest level.”
