No Go For Coe

Long term Ipswich supporter Darren Coe will be getting another chance to join Town from Newmarket any time soon.

The 25-year-old defender was drafted in from Ridgeons League Newmarket Town for Town’s reserve game against Fulham on Monday night and although he did well Town manager Joe Royle thinks he may have missed the boat in term of fitness.

 

Town manger Joe Royle: “Darren did fine but at 25 he is probably going to struggle to make it at this level now. We have looked at him for a while and he is a good player at his standard.

 

“He helped us out and we had a closer look but we have Chris Casement to come back in for the reserves when he is not involved in the youth team.”
