McDonald Bid Rejected

Ipswich Town have rejected a £75,000 bid from Hartlepool United for Town striker Dean McDonald.

The 19-year-old was on-loan at Hartlepool at the end of last year, scoring one goal in his six appearances for the ‘Pool.

 

Town manager Joe Royle: “Hartlepool have made a bid for Dean but it's not quite matched our valuation.

 

“We have made Dean aware of the situation and there are other bits and pieces to the deal tied in so we will see what develops.

 

“We have trimmed the squad to 16 though for Saturday's game against Sheffield United and Dean and Dean Bowditch have dropped out of the 18 originally named.”
