Horlock: I’ll Keep Trying

Ipswich Town midfielder Kevin Horlock says he will continue to work hard despite being told he is free to leave Town.

Earlier this week the 33-year-old was told he is free to leave Town as he will not be offered a new contact in the summer, he has so far been linked with a move to Oldham.

 

Kevin: “It is disappointing for anyone to be told they are no longer needed in a job and it is no different for me.

 

“It gives you a big boost when you hear clubs are interested in you and it is a good lift but I have not spoken to anyone about Oldham as yet and it is a bit premature for people to be saying I will be going anywhere.

 

“It could be that I go now or at the end of the season but I will not be rushing into any decision.

 

“This is a big one for me and it will probably be my last. It is not fair on the kids who have just settled here and my family is the most important thing to me.

 

“When I go it would have to be the right club and in the right area so it is a very important decision for me.

 

“If I stay at Ipswich until the end of the season then I will continue to give 110% to the club.

 

“The manager has said I could still be involved and every game I play I will be doing my best for Ipswich and for me it is also the chance to be in the shop window.”
