Gavin Move Unlikely

Ipswich Town manager Joe Royle has revealed it is unlikely that Town will sign Gavin Williams permanently.

Despite the midfielder wanting to stay past the end of his loan deal that expires in the middle of next month it is very unlikely that he will join Town permanently but Joe Royle will look to extend his loan from West Ham in January.

 

Town manager Joe Royle: “It looks unlikely that we will be able to sign Gavin on a permanent basis although hopefully we can extend his loan in January.

 

“I have been totally delighted with Gavin and what he has brought us. He is an Ipswich -type player who is talented and very fit, who gets around the pitch. We have not had a genuine right-sided player since Jermaine Wright.”
