Ipswich Town midfielder Ian Westlake is ahead of schedule in his recovery from an ankle ligament injury and he could be training in two weeks.
The 21-year-old was expected to be out until Christmas but he could now be back at the end of next month.
Town physio Dave Williams: “Westy will see a specialist on Thursday and we will know more then but it's looking good at the moment, he is ahead of schedule and has been running this week and moving forward all the time.
“We don't want to say too much before the specialist has a look but we're not expecting any problems and he should be back in training in a couple of weeks.
“After then you are talking about how quickly he can regain his match fitness.”
