Butcher Hopes To Manage Town

Ipswich Town and England legend Terry Butcher has admitted he would one day like to manage Town.

Butcher who is currently in charge of SPL side Motherwell where he is currently happy, but he has admitted he would one day to take charge at Portman Road.

 

Butcher: “I didn’t apply for the last vacancy because I had not long been at Motherwell and it was not the right time.

 

“But I would love to manage Ipswich. I have always said I want to come back here as manager and take Ipswich to Anfield and beat Liverpool.

  

“It is something I didn’t do as player and something I still want to do.”

 

Butcher went on to say he wants to build a club like Sir Bobby Robson did at Ipswich, adding: “I’m very happy at Motherwell, we have a good group of players and it’s a lovely club.  

 

“It is my ambition to build a club like Sir Bobby did here at Ipswich and we are getting there.”
