Richards Ready For Battle

Ipswich Town defender Matt Richards says he is ready to fight to get back in the Town first team and relishes the competition for places.
Town manager Joe Royle may have all six of senior defenders available for Saturday’s game against
Richards: “The boss brings in players to strengthen the team and that makes everyone fight for their places which is the purpose of it.
“My own game has been frustrating at times and I haven't played as well as I know I can.
“I'm determined to work hard though and win back my place in the side because I know I can do that.
“The most important thing for me is to keep moving forward as a player. I've been involved in the squad for four years and because of that I think people forget that I'm still only 20 and I've still got lots to learn.”
