Price Not Expecting To Play Against England

Ipswich Town goalkeeper Lewis Price is not expecting to play against England for Wales on Saturday but is pleased to be in the squad.

The 21-year-old ‘keeper came close to earning his first senior cap for Wales against Slovenia last month but injury while playing for Town against Leicester.

 

Lewis: “I heard I might have played against Slovenia so it was disappointing but injuries are part of the game, it's a great thrill to be involved in the build up to the England game this week though and we're all looking forward to the match.

 

“I'm not sure who will be involved. I expect Danny to be in goal and Jonah to be on the bench but even if I'm up in the stands at the game, it's been a great experience to be involved in the squad.

 

“We know England are favourites and that we can't qualify for the World Cup but with 70,000 passionate Welshmen in the stadium, there will be plenty to play for, no doubt about that.”
