Reserves Lose

A young Ipswich Town reserve side slumped to a 3-1 defeat against a more experienced Fulham second string last night.

Heidar Helguson opened the scoring for the home side early in the second half before Dean Bowditch levelled for Town from the penalty spot in the 76th minute.

 

Fulham regained the lead seconds later after a Chris Casement clearance bounced off Liam Craig and in but with Yinka Casal trying to claim the goal.

 

Helguson finished the scoring, heading in seven minutes from time.

 

Also Town’s reserve game against Leicester City has been moved back 48 hours and will now take place on the 21st of September at Portman Road with a 7pm kick off.
