Vales Given Town Trial

Óscar Vales will spend the next week training with Town in an effort to impress Joe Royle and win a contract with Town.

The 30-year-old Spaniard can play in midfield or defence started his career Athletic Bilbao back in 1994 and moved to Celta in ‘97 before moving back to Bilbao two years later and was released in the summer.

 

Town manager Joe Royle: “Oscar is with us for the week and we will have a look at him, he's played at the top level in Spain and is a versatile player who can line up in defence and midfield so he fits the identikit of what we are looking for.”
