Price Hopes To Be Fit

Ipswich Town goalkeeper Lewis Price hopes to be fit for Town's game against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.

The 21-year-old goalkeeper gashed his knee in Town's 0-0 draw with Leicester City on Saturday and because of the injury he misses out on what was expected to be his Wales debut against Slovenia and he is expected to miss Town's game against the Owls but Price is hopeful he can play against Wednesday on Saturday.

Price: “I am gutted at missing out on my big chance for Wales, but hopefully I will get another opportunity. The main thing is I'm not seriously injured.

“I still cannot bend the knee properly but once the bruising comes out it should be OK. I have a gash down my leg that has been stuck together and should heal quickly. I am hopeful of being OK for Saturday.”
