Currie To Miss Leicester Game?

Ipswich Town midfielder Darren Currie could miss Town’s game against Leicester City for personal reasons.

The 30-year-old midfielder’s wife, Emma is due to give birth to their first son on Saturday and Darren wants to be with his wife to witness the birth so he will have his car with him in the east midlands so if he gets the call he can dash back to Essex.

 

Currie: “It is a big thing for me. I have wanted a baby for almost as long as I have wanted to play in the premiership, so it is very important to me to be with Emma. I don’t really want to miss the match if I can help it but I will have my car at the team hotel ready to come back if necessary, just as Kelvin did last season.”
