Magic Hails Garvan

Ipswich Town midfielder Jim Magilton has hailed Town youngster Owen Garvan following his debut against Cardiff on Saturday.

Jim and Owen lined up in the middle of midfield for Town on Saturday and put in a sterling display and was a contender for the man of the match award in his 90 first team minutes.

 

Jim: “Owen has a fantastic temperament and an old head on his young shoulders, he has a tremendous opportunity to make a name for himself and knowing the lad I am sure he will grasp his chance with both hands.

 

“He is very composed on the ball and never wants to give it away cheaply. He has looked the part ever since he came to the club and his early promotion to the first team has surprised no one.”
