Dean A Doubt

Ipswich Town striker Dean Bowditch is rated as 50/50 at best to be fit in time for Saturday's Championship season opener against Cardiff at Portman Road.

Deano has been out of action since picking up a foot injury in the tour to Hungary last month, as a result he has missed the friendlies against Atletico Madrid and Colchester.

 

Town physio Dave Williams: “Dean has a bruised instep and it's still sore when he makes contact with the ball, he has made progress today and done some running, twisting and turning and while that is a little uncomfortable, he has moved forward.

 

“We will have to see how he goes over the next two days but at the moment, he is certainly no more than 50/50 for the weekend.”
